AI Use & Accountability Statement
How artificial intelligence works in this service — what it does, what it cannot do, and who is responsible at every stage
Version 1.0 · May 2026 · Oscar Gregory Nyoni · AudLex
This statement explains how artificial intelligence is used within the AudLex platform — what it does, how it is directed, what it cannot do, and how Oscar Gregory Nyoni’s professional oversight applies at every stage of the service.
Reading this statement is not a condition of using the service. It is here because you have a right to understand what is working on your behalf — and because transparency is part of how AudLex earns your trust.
1. What the AI Is
The Vera is powered by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. Claude is a general-purpose AI. What makes Vera distinct is how it has been directed.
Oscar Gregory Nyoni has built a detailed instruction framework — encoding his legal knowledge, his intake methodology, his casework principles, and his approach to immigration and human rights matters — that directs Claude to operate as Vera. Claude does not bring generic legal knowledge to this service. It brings Oscar’s framework, applied consistently, at every hour of the day, to every client who uses it.
This is the core value of the collaboration: Oscar’s twenty years of lived experience, casework knowledge, and legal methodology — made available at scale, in plain language, without a waiting list.
2. What the AI Does
When you use AudLex, the AI assistant carries out the following:
- Conducts a structured intake conversation — asking questions about your full situation, not only the presenting legal question
- Identifies every legal issue present in what you have described — including issues you may not have named
- Assesses urgency — calculating deadlines, flagging time-critical situations, and determining which track your case moves onto
- Reviews case history — identifying refusal reasons, adviser errors, silent blockers, and recoverable evidence from what you describe
- Surveys every legal route that could apply to your circumstances — not only the most obvious one
- Produces a gap analysis — what each route requires, what you have, what is missing, and whether the gap is closeable
- Generates a personalised evidence map — what to gather, why each item matters, and how combinations of evidence work together
- Produces a structured case summary that you own and can use anywhere
- Drafts documents in your own voice for Tier 2 clients — personal statements, covering letters, evidence maps, and case handler directions
- Communicates in the language you write in
3. What the AI Cannot Do
The AI assistant does not provide regulated legal advice. It provides legal education — information, analysis, and guidance that helps you understand your situation and your options. This distinction is not a technicality. It reflects the current scope of Oscar’s qualifications and the platform’s regulatory position.
Three further limitations apply:
- It can be wrong: Claude is capable of producing plausible but inaccurate information. It does not know your full case from a single conversation. The more precisely you describe your circumstances, the more accurate the analysis. Oscar’s review — present at every tier — is the safeguard against error reaching you.
- It cannot exercise judgment on cases that do not fit a pattern: Some situations are genuinely without precedent, or carry a combination of factors that resist structured analysis. Where the AI identifies that a case does not resolve into any recognised track, it flags this directly and routes the matter to Oscar.
- It cannot represent you: The AI cannot contact the Home Office on your behalf, appear at a tribunal, or act as your legal representative. These are Oscar’s responsibilities post-qualification. At every stage of the platform, the AI prepares and informs — Oscar acts.
4. Human Oversight at Every Tier
Oscar Gregory Nyoni’s professional judgment is present at every tier of this service. The nature of that involvement differs by tier — and is described precisely below. At no tier does the AI operate without accountability.
| Dimension | Tier 1FREE — AI-Led Assessment Available to every client, at no cost, always | Tier 2SELF-SERVICE — AI-Drafted, Oscar-Reviewed Flat fee per case type · Payment before document generation | Tier 3DIRECT CONSULTATION — Full Oscar Involvement Flat fee per case type · Oscar’s direct expertise and professional engagement |
|---|---|---|---|
| What the AI Does |
Conducts the full intake, triage, case history review, pathway identification, gap analysis, and evidence map. Produces a structured case summary you own and can take anywhere. |
Drafts all documents in your own voice — personal statements, covering letters, evidence maps, and case handler directions — based on the case record built during your free tier assessment. No information is entered twice. |
Completes the full free tier assessment before your consultation session. By the time Oscar meets you, the intake, triage, case history review, pathway identification, and gap analysis are already done. The session begins with the work already prepared. |
| Oscar’s Role |
Oscar designed every element of the intake framework the AI follows. He built the question logic, the route analysis principles, the evidence prompts, and the casework knowledge that directs the AI’s responses. When the AI identifies a case that does not fit any recognised pattern — or flags an urgent situation — Oscar is notified directly. |
Oscar reviews every document before it reaches you. Every document passes a three-check protocol: consistency with your full immigration history, alignment with the route and strategy decided, and sufficiency of evidence to support each claim. Nothing goes out under Bridge Legal’s name without passing his review. The fee you pay at this tier reflects Oscar’s eyes on the document — not the AI’s generation of it. |
Oscar is directly involved at every significant stage. During your consultation, he accesses your case record, reviews what the AI identified, applies his professional judgment — correcting the analysis where needed, identifying what the AI missed, and determining the strategy. He makes every decision about how the case proceeds. He records his professional assessment as a permanent part of your case record. He manages case handler contact, appeal assessment, and resubmission strategy. Post-qualification, he provides formal legal representation. |
| What You Receive |
A complete, usable analysis of your situation. Not a taster. Not a lead generation tool. A genuine service that leaves you better informed than when you arrived — with a case summary you own. |
Personally voiced, professionally structured documents that Oscar has approved. A document you could not produce alone, reviewed by someone who knows what decision-makers look for. |
Oscar. His judgment, his experience, his direct engagement with your case — with the preparatory work already done so the session is immediately productive. |
5. Your Data and the AI
When you use the chat assistant, the content of your conversation is processed by Claude, Anthropic’s AI system, in order to generate responses. This is a necessary part of how the service works.
The following applies to that processing:
- Anthropic is a data processor acting on AudLex's behalf. Their processing is governed by Anthropic’s data processing agreement.
- Oscar Gregory Nyoni has verified that Anthropic’s terms do not permit your conversation data to be used to train AI models without consent.
- The instruction framework that directs the AI — Oscar’s methodology and casework knowledge — is stored securely as a server-side environment variable. It is never visible in the website’s public code.
- Your conversation is not stored permanently by the AI system between sessions. Case records for Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients are stored securely by AudLex under the terms set out in the Privacy Notice.
For full details of how your personal data is collected, stored, and used, please read the AudLex Privacy Notice at audlex.co.uk/privacy.
6. Who Is Responsible
Oscar Gregory Nyoni is responsible for everything this service produces.
The AI does not carry professional responsibility. It does not have a registration number. It cannot be held to account by a regulator. Oscar can — and is.
Oscar is currently completing his LLB (Hons) at Arden University on the SQE Pathway toward qualification as a solicitor. He is not yet registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Immigration Advice Authority. All services provided by AudLex are structured as legal education and guidance — not regulated legal advice or formal legal representation. This distinction is maintained consistently across every tier of the platform, every AI response, and every document Oscar reviews.
Upon qualification, the consultation tier will be upgraded to include formal legal representation. The AI infrastructure will remain in place as the intake and analysis layer — Oscar’s professional accountability will expand to cover regulated practice.
7. Your Rights in Relation to AI
You have the right to ask Oscar to explain any output the AI has produced in your case — the analysis, the route identified, the evidence map, or the document drafted. You will receive a plain-language explanation of how that output was reached.
You have the right to request that Oscar reviews any AI output before you act on it, regardless of which tier you are using.
You have the right to decline to use the AI assistant and contact Oscar directly instead. Speaking enquiries, urgent cases, and cases that do not fit the structured intake process can be directed to Oscar at oscar@audlex.co.uk or +44 7534 646733.
For any question about how AI is used in your case, contact Oscar directly. He will respond personally.
8. Updates to This Statement
This statement will be updated when the AI instruction framework changes significantly, when Oscar’s qualification status changes, or when the platform’s service structure evolves. The version number and date at the top of this document reflect the current version.
Continued use of the AudLex platform following a material update constitutes acceptance of the revised statement. Oscar will notify clients of material changes by email where a client relationship already exists.
